Comfortable Within

20 Feb

We lie, we lie, and we lie
We look into each others’ eyes
And we lie
We smile into each others’ face
And we lie
We hug and shake hands
And still we lie

Every day we meet
We lie
Every time we talk
We lie
Day after day
We lie, and still we lie

We go home and we think
Tomorrow is another lie
We’ll meet, talk, touch, laugh
And then lie some more

Everyday is a lie
Because you and I
Have always been a lie.

With all these lies… I guess this poem too is a lie 🙂 “Kidding”. Well, this poem actually makes one think on what our lives are made of… lies, deceit and lies (again) – not only to others but also to ourselves.
